Rabecca, Instructional Designer
Rabecca, a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience, bridges the gap between creativity and learning. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, she kindled her passion for knowledge. Rabecca's journey continued as she earned a Master’s degree in Classroom Technology and began sharing her knowledge of technology and innovative practices. Her expertise extends to Applied Computational Thinking, a field she championed in classrooms. As an Instructional Technology Specialist, Rabecca designed captivating e-learning modules, infusing them with multimedia and gamification. Her mantra: “Empower, engage, evolve.”
Rabecca's hunger for knowledge led her to pursue a Master’s certificate in Educational Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Her impact reaches beyond traditional settings—she teaches adults, facilitates workshops, designs online and blended learning and creates virtual reality content. In the ever-evolving landscape of education, Rabecca remains passionate about innovation in the learning environment, inspiring learners to embrace limitless possibilities.
RCID's Story
In a cluttered garage, Shawn and Rabecca, hatched an audacious plan. With over 20 years of combined experience in their respective fields, they were no strangers to innovation. Shawn, the pragmatic Director of Operations for a thriving restoration franchise, dreamed in efficiency metrics. Rabecca, the former librarian turned instructional designer, saw colors where others saw spreadsheets.
Their after-dinner conversations would soon spark a revelation: restoration and construction companies would need more than just tools—they would require soft skill training to master the customer experience, streamlined processes and empowered teams. And so, the idea for Restoration Coaching and Instructional Design (RCID) began to take shape. Shawn, with his clipboard and laser focus, would coach owners, project managers, and crew members on operational excellence. Meanwhile, Rabecca, with her kaleidoscope of fonts, would design training materials and online courses that would make dry manuals come alive. Their office, a delightful mess of technology tools and coffee stains, would buzz with creativity and logistics.
